Kamal Bali has an illustrious career spanning nearly four decades, predominantly in the automotive industry. An engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and an alumnus of St. Joseph’s Academy Dehradun, Kamal began his professional career as a GET with the Eicher Group in 1981. Prior to spearheading the Volvo Group in India, Kamal was working as President & CEO of Singapore Technologies (STK) in India, establishing the brand LeeBoy.

His quest to understand the overall functioning and nuances of leading the organization, made him learn the art and science of leadership in the most challenging circumstances. He worked in various roles during the formative years of his career in the functional areas of sales, marketing, and supply chain, before taking over P&L responsibilities in the year 2002.

He can be easily distinguished in the crowd because of his energy level and zeal. He consistently challenges the status quo, enjoys competition and gets energized by young talent disrupting established norms of business & commerce. With an amassed wealth of knowledge; he is a man on a mission who enjoys helping youth who have the potential & passion to make India proud.

Kamal is a thought leader, a speaker at various national and international forums and holds other leadership roles, such as the Chairman of Swedish Chamber of Commerce India (SCCI) and immediate Past Chairman of CII Karnataka.

Volvo Group India Private Limited (VIPL) is fully owned by AB Volvo Group of Sweden, has manufacturing facilities in Bangalore, with offerings of Volvo Trucks, Buses, Construction Equipment and Engines. The Volvo Group also has a very successful JV with Eicher Group.
