Erwin Steinhauser was appointed Managing Director for Sandvik Asia Pvt. Ltd. effective 1 March 2018. He has been with Sandvik since the late 1990s and has held several management positions at various Sandvik legal entities in Europe. Erwin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration as well as in Business Engineering. His credo is to reduce complexity to a minimum, making things simpler and easier to understand and execute – an approach, he maintains, that always results in greater robustness, stability and efficiency. Erwin is convinced that developing women’s potential by utilizing their talents and skills and reaching gender equality in opportunities and benefits, will generate higher economic growth.
