Adviser Innovation and Science, Embassy of Sweden in New Delhi

Leena joined as the Adviser Innovation and Science at the Embassy of Sweden, New Delhi in February 2018. Her role is to support and facilitate the Sweden-India partnership in Innovation, Research and Higher Education by providing in-depth policy reporting and stakeholder management on the Indian side. In her current role, Leena is also responsible for communications and impact strategy for the Office of Science and Innovation India. Leena has over eleven years of experience in the field of science and innovation policy and delivery of joint policy frameworks and collaborative research and innovation programs with the Indian government.

Prior to joining the embassy, she was responsible for the Australia India Strategic Research Fund. Before her stint with the Australian Government, Leena worked at the British Council India as Head Newton Fund and with the British High Commission as Senior Advisor for Science and Innovation.
