Satinder Kumar Lambah currently Chairman, Ananta Aspen Centre has been Ambassador of India to Hungary, Germany, Russia, High Commissioner to Pakistan and Consul General San Francisco.His specializations include dealing with India’s neighbours and Economic Diplomacy. He opened the Indian Embassy in Bangladesh after liberation and has a long experience in dealing with Pakistan and Afghanistan.

He has been involved in many successful economic ventures. For instance, the breakthrough in export of Tobacco, and of Indian Scooters to Italy. The first Export of an Indian car (Maruti Car) and Iron ore Pellets took place when he was Ambassador in Hungary.  India’s largest investment abroad ever up to that time of over $2 billion in Sakhalin-I was made in 2001 when he was Ambassador in Russia. 

Amongst the awards conferred  on him has been  the Urja Sangam (Energy Security Award) by the Government  of India  (2015) for the success of the Sakhalin-I Project in 2001,  the Cross of the  Order of the Merit by the Government of Federal Republic of Germany (2015), the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation conferred the award for International co-ordination on him (2017) and during his tenure as Consul General of India in San Francisco  , a "Trustees' Citation" by the University of California, Berkeley  (1991) for his initiating, coordinating, and spearheading the campaign which generated over US$2 million in a short span of four months for Indian Studies, resulting in the creation of two Chairs of  India Studies, a bi-annual lecture by a distinguished scholar from India, and an annual scholarship at the Graduate School of Journalism at U.C Berkeley.
