Swedish Trade Commissioner to India and Head of South Asia, Business Sweden

Mr. Carsten Grönblad is Swedish Trade Commissioner to India, and Head of South Asia at Business Sweden, The Swedish Trade and Invest Council. Mr. Grönblad has previously been Trade Commissioner to Austria and Hungary, responsible for the markets of in Switzerland, South East Europe and Israel. In which he was assigned to build up presence and offices as regional manager for eight markets. Mr. Grönblad has a track record of building formats, combining business development and fostering innovation partnering within e.g. ICT, Life Science and Industry 4.0. As country manager to Israel, Mr. Grönblad paved way for increased startup collaboration between the world’s two most innovative economies. Mr Grönblad was also responsible to promote the Swedish industry relations with UN and international organisations in Geneva and Vienna. And in this capacity launched an initiative forming a new type of collaborations, supporting innovative solutions and life cycle perspective in partnership with UN organisations.
