Neeraj is Founder & CEO at FormulateIP based in India and USA. Applying his business and technical background, Neeraj assists clients in protecting and expanding their domestic and international knowledge-based businesses using IP protection, licensing and strategic planning. Neeraj has played key role in developing and implementing intellectual property, business strategies and initiatives for many product and service based organizations in India, USA and EU. He has provided IP Portfolio Management Consulting to leading companies in different sectors in India and Abroad.

Neeraj has been part of various IP initiatives started by Government of Karnataka, India. He was core member of Intellectual Property initiative called “Amulya”. The objective of this program is to create awareness about patents, to communicate the advantages of patenting and to encourage a patent filing culture at Institutions, Research & Development centres and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). Neeaj is also part of core team responsible for drafting Intellectual Property Policy for Karnataka. Neeraj works closely with various industry bodies such as Indian Semiconductor Association (ISA), Advanced Computing and Communication Society (ACCS), IEEE in promoting various Intellectual Property and Innovation Management initiatives.

Neeraj is co-founder at Excubator  which provides guidance and support needed to entrepreneurs for building a successful entrepreneurial practice. Excubator also provides incubator facility in Bangalore. Excubator’s mission is to create and grow a vibrant ecosystem that is designed to take Indian entrepreneurship practices to a global level.

Neeraj is Founder and Managing Director at Lawcubator which is a technology firm in the legal domain. Lawcubator is a technology platform in workplace health & safety related legal compliances. Lawcubator’s objective is to provide Techno-Legal solutions for workplace related issues, such as gender discrimination, health and safety of the employees at workplace. Its customizable technology platform is uniquely designed in accordance with various national and international legislations to ensure holistic and efficient management of all issues related to workplace safety.

Neeraj is co-founder of PanIIT Mentors which is a Nation Building Initiative under PanIIT. IIT Mentors is a global mentorship program which is set up with simple goals of “Alumni helping Alumni” in a “Pay it forward” model. Neeraj was founding EC member of Federation of Indo-Israeli Chamber of Commerce (South).

Neeraj is CEO and Governing Council Member of Technology Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development Activity (TIDEA) at IIT Roorkee. TIDEA is IIT Roorke’s incubator for supporting IIT students and alumni startups. Neeraj was also instrumental is creating the policies and set up of TIDEA at IIT Roorkee.

Neeraj is Board member at KTH Alumni Advisory board and Chairman, India Alumni Chapter for for Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden (www.kth.se). Neeraj has been one of the most successful alumni from KTH, Sweden and is very active in supporting various activities of KTH in India.

Neeraj is Governing Council Member and Treasurer at IIT Alumni Centre Bengaluru, IITACB (www.iitalumniclubbangalore.org). The IIT Alumni Centre, Bengaluru has been established to create a community that promotes fellowship among its members – Alumni, Faculty and Students connected with IITs – in their Quest for Excellence reflecting the spirit of the IITs. The IIT Council and the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) have given their approval to initiate the building of this unique Centre in Bengaluru.

Neeraj is one of the experts at Swissnex India (www.swissnexindia.org ) and advises Swiss startups. Swissnex India connects Switzerland and India in the fields of science, education, art and innovation. An initiative of the Swiss State Secretariat for Education and Research and Innovation (SERI) in association with the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, swissnex India functions as an annex of the Consulate General of Switzerland in India.

Neeraj holds Bachelors of Technology degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Metallurgical and Material Sciences and Masters of Science Degree from Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden in Scientific Computing and Mathematics. Neeraj is PGPX in General Management from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
